Kawasaki Celebrates 37 years of Team Green and 50 years of Kawasaki USA

In 1979 Chuck Larsen and district manager Dave Dewey from Kawasaki had an epiphany at the Ponca City Nationals due to the lack of green bikes at the race. In a rental car that weekend the two crafted the idea of Team Green Kawasaki and the rest is a lot of history. The program was officially launched in 1981 at Ponca and from there the list of champions that made their way through Team Green are long. Some of the great include: Billy Liles, Jeff Emig, David Bailey, Jeremy McGrath, Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart, Ryan Villopoto and many others. If you needed trackside support at major events they were there and created a legacy.

Scott Prospect

Scott Goggles invited motorcycle media up to a giant product launch to show us the new Prospect Goggle. The company acknowledged they have been a little quiet in the moto world the last few years. It was obvious they have been busy. They have an impressive line of bicycles and other outdoor sports products that is frankly massive. Yet they have also been working on the new Prospect Goggle as well as updates to a lot of the other goggles in the line.

We have a few of the early production models for to get familiar with the Prospect and we’ll be getting full production ones soon. The Prospect has a very large field of vision and really takes locking the lens into the goggles frame to a whole new level. They have seen lenses getting blown out of the frame from the massive roost 450s throw out these days and this goggle should address that handily. Then there is the tear off and film system integration that is pretty impressive as well.

Even the Over The Glasses goggle received some changes. Once we get adequate time in these we’ll have a review up on the site.
