About Me: After attending the Superbowl of motocross in the 70s, Scott was hooked on the sport. Recreational riding turned to racing later on and he became an accomplished amateur racer in Southern California. During college, Scott picked up a pen and camera and launched his journalist career as a contributor at Cycle News covering local races. Scott's photos have been seen on the cover of major magazines including Dirt Rider, MX Racer, Cycle News, Racer X, and SMR. After a three-year stint at FMF Racing, Dirt Rider Magazine hired him on as an editor and test rider from 1998 to 2003. When the supermoto craze took off, Scott had a vision and launched his own magazine called SuperMoto Racer that thrived from the end of 2003 until the economy stifled the motorcycle industry in 2009. During his supermoto days Scott also won several AMA amateur titles and won the famed Pikes Peak Hillclimb. Following SMR, he went back to Dirt Rider under Jimmy Lewis and acted as a contributing editor/photographer and test rider until 2012.
