One of the big issues of the 2024 KX450 has been the airbox and air filter. Kawasaki had to meet European sound requirements for 2025 and it affected the airbag. The sealing and air filter design has also been brought into question. Instead of just building a cage to remove the screen and run their own flame-proof filter, Twin Air went a few steps further to completely re-design a panel of the airbox, filter cage, attachment mechanism, and shape of the filter with more surface area. This design eliminates the screen.
This design offers less restrictive air flow, more filter surface, and addresses the sealing concerns related with the stock KX450 design. After installation, which is fairly easy if you follow their how-to video, you will no longer be able to use the stock system as a backup. Be sure to pick up a spare filter for the PowerFlow Kit if you go this route.
