Irvine, CA (June 20, 2016) – The motocross community will come together to Kawasaki rider Destry Abbott’s Leukemia Fundraiser on Tuesday, July 21st at Pole Position Raceway in Corona, California. The event will begin at 5:00 PM PT and will include both silent and live auctions of memorabilia including a framed autographed Ryan Villopoto championship jersey, used Destry’s race helmet, an autographed Jeremy McGrath jersey along with many other sought after collectables. In addition, a Destry Abbott championship KX™500 will be raffled off and a full night of kart racing with all proceeds benefiting the Abbott family.
“Kawasaki and Destry have a 20-year relationship where we have watched him have incredible success at the races, as well as starting a wonderful family,” said Team Green Supervisor Ryan Holliday. “It’s not even a question for us to be there and help support Destry and his family in this new challenge.”
Abbott has been an outstanding ambassador for not only Kawasaki but the powersports community for over twelve years. Abbot is a five-time champion in AMA Hare and Hound, five-time Best in the Desert champion, a seven-time gold medalist at the International Six-Days Enduro (ISDE) as well as a fan favorite in EnduroCross.
