dirt-112514-EXYes Taddy Blazusiak may have won the battle at the final round of the 2014 EnduroCross title chase but in the end it was Factory Beta rider Cody Webb who won the war. This has to mark the first major non-trials championship for Beta. It was a tight battle down to the final race in Ontario CA. Only 14 points separated the top three finishers. Colton Haaker finished the season on the box with a third behind Webb and Blazusiak. “Consitency wins championships and I found that out this season by ending with a second place tonight and never finishing off the podium. The team was incredible this year. We put a lot of hard work in this year and it showed. I think mentally I knew I was ready to be up here and I think Colton and I pressured Taddy enough to make big moves. Last year I came on strong after breaking my foot but didn’t have the whole season. This year, I came in fresh and strong and kept putting the hard work in and managed my time with going to school—training hard when I needed to and resting when that was right. I realized in Atlanta this year that I could win the championship and knew that consistency would be the right way to do it.” Said Webb. For more info on EX, visit www.EnduroCross.com

Tomac lands on Barcia in Genova

This is what blew up the Moto boards this week, the gnarly clips of Justin Barcia running into Christophe Pourcel, going down and then Eli Tomac not being able to avoid the down rider and clipping him on the downside of a jump. Barcia had to be taken to the hospital after the crash but seems to be doing a tad batter. Here is a quote from his Facebook page, “Feel better today after a bad racing crash this weekend in Genova Italy should be out of the hospital tomorrow and flying home in the next few days was really feeling good on my bike and having fun will get back to work asap and get back to my goal #A1 thanks everyone!!!”

SX-T-A 2015

SX just around the corner – what do fans come to watch more, the racing, the bikes in the pits or the spokesmodels that litter every inch of the stadium. Probably a mix since a lot of the PR often includes a little SX, a little of the action and always a little T and A. If this does not want you to go to the stadium for some reason, you must be a bowling fan.

Honda Says Thanks to McGrath

With retired racer Jeremy McGrath switching to Kawasaki, American Honda recently sent out a letter thanking the King for all of his years with Honda and again when he returned to Red. MC won four consecutive premier SX titles for Honda between 1993-1996, two 125 SX titles and one outdoor title in 1995. Even years after his retirement, MC is still one of the most popular riders and the he still loves to ride, and he does it often.

James Stewart getting ready for SX 2015

We spotted this cool clip of JS7 busting out some laps at MXPTV.com’s YouTube page. Stewart looks fast as always but the test will take place in January.

Facebook Flop

This is what happens when you try to impress the camera one too many times, one powerslide is fine, it’s always the second swap that ends up giving you a taste of the running water below. That fall just cost that guy a new visor
