Alta runs out of Juice? Shuts down for the time being, lack of $

We have been hearing some talk that Alta Motors, maker of the only real possible competition for four-stroke motocross bikes has temporally stopped operation due to lack of funding according to reports. Some of this might be the fall of the Harley Davidson/Alta deal that fell through or other factors. They are need of a capital infusion or a total outright sale of the company to keep going forward according to reports and talk. Below is a link to a story that has more solid information. What this means to current Alta owners is unclear, but we doubt that anyone will let the progress they have made thus far fall to pieces, someone or a group should be able to plug in the charger and get the juice flowing again.
