Suzuki and their 2020 Crew
Suzuki just released info on their 2020 lineup and there are no real surprises. Thus far there are no real 2020 big “All New” motorcycles announced. Yes KTM does have a new EXC-R and XCF-W but their “New” are most updates that were put into their SX line one and two years ago. Yes new but not totally never been seen before new.
For Suzuki, since their 2019 RM-Z 250 was such a late release, it was almost considered a 2019.5 or early 2020. For 20 the 250 is the same bike with just graphics updates, pretty much what we expected.
For some reason the RM-Z450 is still getting a bad rap in some circles but we beg to differ. Yes it might not be state-of-the-art compared to a few other models and does not have electric start but it is sill a great motorcycle and turns amazing for 95% of riders/racers in the land. Plus the RM-Z’s are often more affordable at the dealer and it gives you more room for mods. Just checkout the project we did on our test bike, simple updates to take it to a personalized level.

For 2020 we are surprised Suzuki did not do some simple updates to the 450 like shock and fork valving, slightly higher compression piston and maybe mapping – but these are all simple upgrades a customer can do to really personalize the bike to themselves.
So for now, the 2020s get BNG and the rest is up to you – but don’t count out the Suzuki, they are still some of the best looking bikes around.
