2017 KTM Factory Editions are HERE!

What started out as a cool promotion and a possible way around some of the AMA rules regarding production bikes by launching a limited edition short run of moto bikes right before the coming season, KTM is still onto something. Year after year they continue to offer unique Factory Edition models in both 250 and 450. When the time in right KTM will include some revolutionary changes in order keep up with innovation as well as help aid their ever-potent race team.

For the 2017 FE, that time is not right since the standard year model has now all of the updates as the Factory Edition from a year ago. For 2017 both the 250 FE’s do return with a unique look and special parts not seen on the standard year production bikes; such as the orange frame, team graphics and seat cover, anodized triple clamps, aftermarket slip-on exhaust (Akrapovic for the 450 and FMF for the 250) and some other assorted anodized components.

The performance changes within the FE have been concentrated on the suspension with updated internal components and settings in the fork and updated settings in the shock. From there on out, 2017 None-FE owners will be happy that KTM is so confident in their bike they left the rest of the bike alone.

The 450 gets the KTM Factory Red Bull team look while the 250 has the KTM Factory Troy Lee Designs team look. Factory Editions should start trickling into dealers by the fist of the new year.
