What it is

  • Klim's high-end moto specific gogggle.

Klim’s Radius Pro is a premium goggle, loaded with features. Starting with the frame Klim uses what it calls Airchamber for maximum volume inside the goggle and with wide Field Of View utilizing a strap outrigger to aid in the fit and tension against your face. There is a removable nose guard standard.  The Tri-Tested PolyCarb UV 400 Lens with an impregnated UV400 protection and durability that goes beyond the industry standard of two tests by passing three unique tests (EN 174 2001, ANSI Z87.1 and ASTM F659). The lens has a Fogtech HD formula that is designed to manage extreme temperature differences and keep the lens from clouding. Klim even claims you see in HD. The goggle uses Foam3+ face foam--a breathable foam that wicks moisture and dries faster to keep your face and goggle dry and comfortable. Radvent foam provides dust and debris-blocking properties with air permeability and breathability on the vents allowing air and water vapor to escape. The goggle is equipped with tear-off posts and a clip to house multiple Radius Moto laminated tear-off stacks, with one set included with the goggle. It also comes with a Premium Case and a smoke tint lens.

How it works

  • Larger frame that still fits in most helmets.
  • Excellent no-fog.
  • Wide peripheral view with little obstruction.
  • Durable foam and silicone embossed strap.

Straight out of the packaging, a stiff protective case that includes a foam-molded cut out for the goggle, an additional lens and a soft cloth bag/goggle wipe to carry the goggle in, and an additional smoke-tinted lens, you get the impression this is a high end goggle, also confirmed by the price. The Radius is a medium to larger sized frame but just small enough to fit in just about every helmet we tried it with. And if fit is an issue removing the nose bridge, which just pops off, will make fitting in smaller helmet openings possible. The raised strap outrigger really sets the goggle against your face properly and strap tension can customize the pressure depending on the snugness you require. This was especially noticeable by glasses wearers.

The optics are excellent, there is no distortion of any kind. The goggle is very open feeling and the peripheral field of vision is as wide as any other goggle we have used. Depending on your preference there are different tints to the lenses. We really liked the smoked and the amber.

The triple layered face foam was some of the most comfortable out there and fit to just about any face shape we tested the goggle on. Additionally the foam is thick and pliable enough that riders who used glasses could not only fit the glasses into the goggle but the foam still sealed where the glasses frames exited the goggle. And the most important aspect of the foam, aside from sealing the eyes from the elements, the absorption of sweat, was top notch. It also held a lot of sweat before there was any splashing onto the inside of the goggle even on very humid days.

When cold and/or humid one of the goggles strongest points comes out, and even its biggest weakness. The no-fog treatment on the lenses is one of the best out there, if not the best. Coming from a snow background Klim did the research and testing to get a no fog that not only eliminates fogging to the point the lens will accumulate droplets of water on the lens before it will fog, the treatment is very durable and stands the test of time and cleanings. You will be hard pressed to fog this goggle. But you will also notice that the venting on the goggle is sub-par. The thicker foam around the sides of the goggle do not allow much air flow to begin with and the ducting, which from the looks of the goggle seem extensive, does little to get much air into the interior through the foam. You will feel your face and eyes getting hot, especially if you are moving at less than 20 MPH.

In testing the goggles for over a year we can also say the durability of the goggle is excellent, everything about it. The strap, even with abusive cleanings keeps tension and stays together. The frame is built sturdy and does not change shapes in heat or cold. Additionally the lenses resist scratching as good as any we’ve tried before, even the mirrored lens ($29.99).

We also spent a lot of time in the non-pro Radius which is about 80% the same, especially the lens and foam. There is not a nose piece nor the raised bars holding the strap but it also sells for about $40.00 less. You do not get the nice case or the extra lens either.

So in reality we like everything about the Radius wanting only a little more venting for moto or hard enduro riding. For dual-sport or adventure riding this might be looked at as a plus, as it prevents your eves from getting dried out from all the wind. The price is on par with other premium goggles out there but these are premium goggles in every aspect.

I’m 9 months into my experience with my Radius Pro Goggles and just happened on this review today and have to say I would have bought them sooner if I know what I know now. KLIM products as a whole are amazing, but in my opinion these goggles just work better than anything I’ve run in the past. They seal to your face comfortably with good coverage and the material doesn’t let anything unwanted getting through.

I wear glasses inside of mine and they vent well enough that I never have issues.

The box these things come in is worth what you pay for cheap goggles!

On another note, KLIM stands behind their products very well… If you are spending your own money on your gear (Like most of us) I want to know that I am going to get my monies worth out of the product and the only issue I’ve ever had was resolved in 2 emails!
