What it is

  • American made.
  • Can be sold complete with seven different sized heads or as a wrench only.
  • Torque spec is 48 in-lbs for big bikes and 36 in-lbs for minis.

The Fasst Company Spoke Torque Wrench is a specialized tool engineered to eliminate “manual estimation” when truing and tightening motorcycle wheel spokes. Used by professional mechanics and weekend warriors alike, it applies uniform tension across the rim using a specified torque value and features quick-swap head attachments tailored to specific spoke nipple sizes. The factory calibrated torque spec is 48 in-lbs for big bikes and 36 in-lbs for mini bikes. The American made wrench is manufactured in their Washington, UT warehouse and tested and calibrated to their spec. The wrench is available without heads for $124.99 or with the complete seven head assortment (sizes: 5.0, 5.6, 6.0, 6.2, 6.5, 6.7, 6.8) for $250.92.

How it works

  • Takes the guesswork out of tightening spokes.
  • Multiple sized heads fit nearly every spoke out there.

The Fasst Company Spoke Torque Wrench operates using an internal tension-limiting mechanism calibrated directly from the factory, typically set at 48 inch-pounds for full-sized off-road motorcycles and 36 inch-pounds for mini models (but they can calibrate to a specific number if requested). When you apply pressure to tighten a spoke nipple, the internal spring assembly offers a distinct physical snap and audible click the instant you hit the torque spec. This clear feedback helps eliminate over-tightening, stripped threads, and crushed rim nipples, that is if you use the correct size wrench head. To drive the assembly, interchangeable wrench heads seat around the entire height and flank of the nipple, maximizing contact to prevent rounded hardware during adjustments. When used in a multi-stage, incremental sequence— we like to tighten every third spoke systematically around the hub—the tool ensures an even pull across the entire wheel structure, preserving proper lateral and radial trueness while drastically extending overall rim life.

There’s a reason mechanics use torque wrenches and although factory mechanics rely heavily on tools like this, and even this specific tool as it’s a common sight in the pro paddock, it’s even more beneficial for those mechanically challenged. It takes all guesswork out of tightening spokes, something rather daunting for those who don’t have much experience, and makes it a plug and play tool. Even the most novice mechanic can perform factory level work with a tool like this, whereas an experienced mechanic can likely get close to the same torque based on knowledge and feel. Still, the factory guys rely on the Fasst Co Spoke Torque Wrench, so why shouldn’t you?
