What it is

  • A replacement radiator shroud with an extra feature.

A direct replacement radiator shroud, with ducting to allow air to flow around the back of the radiator to help suck more cooling flow through the radiator.to the engine. This, in theory, assists in keeping engine temperature cooler while moving.

How it works

  • Perfect fit and quality finish.
  • Durable as standard and prices the same.
  • Not sure if the powerflow provided additional cooling, it was hard to measure a noticeable difference.

One word describes these replacement shrouds: Quality. Between the perfect fit, quality finish and the cool factor, I would recommend these plastics to any one of my friends. I opted for white on my KTM because I like to be different. They are also available in orange and black. For the quality and gloss of the plastic I was expecting them to cost much more than O.E.M. but they cost roughly the same. With 30+ hard hours on the plastic they have held up very well, and the only signs of wear have been man / boulder-made scuffs and scratches.

As for the cooling, it is hard to tell, especially in very slow going as there needs to be flow for the concept behind the Powerflow to work. From a seat of the pants impression it seemed my bike was boiling less since I have installed the shrouds, but it would be hard to prove as each boiling has been a little bit different. One thing that is nice is that the front of the shroud is rounded in, less likely to catch on branches and especially your boot. The Cycra plastic acted more durable and more flexible than the stock parts, yet sometimes that has a lot to do with the color.

The only drawback that I have found has been installing pre-cut graphics. The pre-cut kits took a bit more work and finesse to fit right, as the Cycra shape is slightly different. But with a sharp razor to trim off the excess vinyl my trusty steed was looking factory fresh in no time.

We were just informed that Powersport Graphics (www.ridepg.com) has pre-cuts specifically for the Cycra Powerflow shrouds.
