2015 KTM Freeride 250R–Nate Sciacqua

I’ve been wanting to ride this bike since the first time one of my friends that has the internet heard about it. He tried to show me but I didn’t have my glasses. When DBT showed up with one I stood around with puppy eyes till they let me ride it, they said it was just for me.The low end torque was amazingly smooth and manageable from zero MPH, like a four-stroke. I never had to use the clutch to keep it from stalling out at very slow speeds–not at all like your old Two-strokes. But when you want the front end to get light it’s just like the old smokers, just dial it up.The seat height is perfect for vertically challenged people and old guys like me, as were the peg positions. It didn’t feel cramped. They didn’t tell me the actual weight was but it felt super light weight and fickable. Really fun to ride! My only gripe was the positioning of the gearshift lever, it’s set up for the stand up rider. But that adjustment would be nothing to make creating the perfect trail bike, if you don’t mind premixing fuel.

Make it street legal and I’ll buy one tomorrow.
