The mountain Bikers of the U.S. are feeling the Wilderness pain.

It’s tough to be limited in the amount of places we are allowed to recreate. If you ride off-road much then you know what I mean, land closure pain. Be it dirt bikes, or whatever you ride we all hate being shut out of our favorite spots. Something mountain bikers are now getting exposed to as they lose some prime trails. Mountain bikers are currently fighting to reverse the law right now which involves around 110 million acres of land where it is illegal to ride bicycles, due to it being designatied “Wilderness”. . . Regardless of the fact that they have very minimal impact. I feel the simple reason its like this is due to the fact that hikers, and horseback riders just simply don’t like bikers,”ruining the view” with the technology or more specifically mechanization. I get it, if I was in a pair of hiking boots I wouldn’t like walking down a trail to find some massive dirt hit built on my favorite pass, or having to walk over it either. However, building on the trail is a different story anyways. Banning something that has less effect on the environment than your horse is downright discrimination. Dungey Gets Penalized!

There was a bit of controversy at that Supercross race this weekend in Detroit. Ryan Dungey seemed to get the short end of the stick (or flag in this case.) Motocross Action usually has a pretty strong opinion on anything to do with the AMA and this time they are right on point.

A Rookie World Champion From The US!

Save yourself from replacing (another) set of bent bars or broken levers.

Something true about riding is that it is not about if you’re going to fall, it’s about when. Something most of us experienced riders have learned is that how you fall is something you develop over time. Knowing how/when to dismount is a great bit of knowledge to keep you out of the hospital, and your bike out of the shop. So here’s a video with some good tips, so you can avoid launching your bike into a river, or other hazard and learning the hard way that “when in doubt, gas it out” is not always the best idea to keep in mind.

And Now For The Complete Opposite…

And in the “Just To Rub It In” Section:

We’re testing one of these right now!
