We asked a few of our contributors this same question. They responded with a hodgepodge of interesting ideas from mild to wild. So we thought we start putting them up to give you some ideas. You may think you have everything you ever needed, at least moto related. But we bet you find a few here you never thought of.
This might be a great conversation starter at Thanksgiving or a nice window to leave open on your phone or computer for your special Santa to see. We’ll likely revisit this subject a few times in the next few weeks so if you see something we may have left off, no matter how large or small, let us know.
Chip Morton, Lunatic with a camera, connoisseur of used moto bikes:
Face it, the bikes are too specialized to just go out and get one. But what moto nut doesn’t
look at a photo of a speedway rider fully crossed sliding sideways, hauling ass,
and doesn’t think- “that is SO FUGGING cool!!!!! ?

To try it at least once has to be on the bucket list for any self respecting motorcycle nut.
Kevin Carpenter, Calm, calculated and looking for a 125cc MX bike:
I like to feel good, be organised and look sharp so every one of these things will make me happy.
Virus Stay Cool/Stay Warm Pants and Shirt. Comfort is a gift that keeps on giving.
Virus Stay Cool Ride Relentless Technical Tee
Virus Stay Cool Co9 Compression Shorts
Having a good goggle bag makes being organised much easier.
You can’t go wrong by having clean, clear and shiny stuff.
Maxima SC1 Clear Coat
Carson Brown, Born of BBR now he’s off in Carson’s World:
Moto6 the Movie – This is pretty much the only thing I really want for Christmas
CRF125 – Pretend you’re buying it for your mom or sister. When they don’t get into it, presto, you have a CRF125!! For at least one weekend you’ll have a blast with your buddies, until you break it. Then next Christmas, buy them another one!
Skid Steer with Rubber Tracks – Let’s face it, this is the greatest human invention. Who cares about the Great Wall of China, the car or airplane?
Mom wants a big industrial washing machine that can handle heavy muddy loads and the clothes magically come out clean. It would be great if the same machine could dry the gear too.
MX vs. ATV Supercross – I would like this game in case I’m ever inside or off my real bike.
Erek Kudla, Mega promoter and master collaborator:
(Erek had a long list and we tool liberty in thinning it down…)
Sidi Crossfire 2 SR – Now that I’m a big boy – and Alpine star has pretty much disbanbed my favorite Tech 8’s and put all their R&D into the Tech 10 which I’m not a fan of – I need to get myself some REAL boots. I’ve love the “Hinge” design ever since I rode for 661 and wore the Hurricane boots that were also disbanded and I really want to get back to that kind of support. Red/White/Blue? Yes, Please.
Baja Designs Squadron LED Light – Night riding/racing is my thang. Surprised I don’t already have a solid mounted set up but could ALWAYS use run ti have stock on my bike. Have raced the sun back into camp several times this season already and would much rather stay out and get more miles in after dark. Everyone that I know of that has used the Squadron has been happy with it. A buddy of mine actually raced a truck in Baja with just 2 Squadron lights on the bumper when his main lights went out!
Cabela’s 0 Degree Sleeping Bag – Doesn’t really matter the brand… just need one of these bad boys again! When I was on a South West Tour Dec 2005 with my punk band I was the ONLY one to bring a sleeping bag. We slept in the van half the time and us being from Southern California we thought Arizona, New Nexico and Texas would be PERFECT over the winter… just 18 degrees and icecles on the van roof later and we all figured it out pretty quickly. The only reason I didn’t die on the road was I was sweating inside my 0 degree bag!
Starwars Boba Fett Wallet – My wallet I got in Mexico is finally wearing thin and it’s time for a new one! Boba Fett (and pretty much anything starwars) will do.
KTM 350 XCF-W – Going all out with this one! I really like all of the 350 models – Beta, Husky… uhhhh… – but the KTM would be the one I’d go with. More then anything is availability of parts. With 40% of the riders in the desert (and I’ve got the numbers to prove it – http://www.moto-tally.com/
So that is it for this week and look forward to more of our crazy ideas coming soon!
