FIRST LOOK: 2027 Beta Motorcycle Lineup
Beta Motorcycles has officially unveiled its complete 2027 model range, introducing comprehensive revisions across every segment. From the entry-level XTrainer series to the refined RR X-PRO line, the competition-ready RR Race models, and an expanded RX Motocross stable—highlighted by an all-new 250 RXF four-stroke—Beta’s 2027 catalog brings significant engineering updates, electronics integration, and chassis refinements.
1. 2027 Beta RX Motocross Lineup
The headline news in Beta’s motocross program is the arrival of the 250 RXF, an all-new 250cc four-stroke engineered and manufactured in-house in Florence, Italy. Joining the 450 RXF (formerly 450 RX) along with the 250 RX and 350 RX two-strokes, the 250 RXF expands Beta’s MX platform into the quarter-liter 4-stroke class.
All-New 250 RXF (4-Stroke)
-
Engine Architecture: 249.3cc double overhead cam (DOHC) engine built with aluminum center cases, magnesium covers (ignition, clutch, valve), a forged crankshaft, and a box-in-box piston design.
-
Dual-Injector EFI: Features two fuel injectors—one on the throttle body and one inside the airbox—to optimize air-fuel mixture management across all RPM ranges.
-
Weight & Compact Frame: Claims a dry weight of 222.6 lbs. The Chromoly frame utilizes side-mount engine head hangers rather than a central engine mount to balance torsional stiffness and vertical flex.
-
Drivetrain & Clutch: Equipped with a 5-speed transmission and a 7-friction/6-steel disk diaphragm hydraulic clutch shared in strength with the 450 RXF platform.
-
Cooling System: Uses CFD-optimized flow routing with a closed-type impeller to increase coolant flow velocity while minimizing hose clutter.
-
Electronics & Controls: Includes a handlebar pad-mounted control panel operating a 5-level Launch Control (LC), Quick Shift (QS), Traction Control (TC), and a dual-map switch.
-
Chassis Components: Outfitted with valved KYB suspension (closed-cartridge fork and rear shock), Nissin brakes, Excel wheels, Dunlop MX34 tires, push-button seat removal, and quick-access air filter. Seat height is 37.2 inches.
450 RXF (4-Stroke)
-
Tapered Throttle Body: Incorporates a new 42mm tapered throttle body derived from Beta’s AMA Supercross and MXGP race development, increasing intake air speed and boosting low-to-midrange torque.
-
Electronics Suite: Integrates the updated handlebar pad control unit featuring 5-level Launch Control, Quick Shift, refined Traction Control, and dual mapping (Dry/Wet selection)[cite: 3, 4].
250 RX & 350 RX (2-Strokes)
-
350 RX: Receives an updated lightweight, reduced-friction piston, yielding a claimed 1.5 horsepower gain.
-
250 RX: Features revised final drive gearing for quicker acceleration out of the gate.
-
Shared RX Updates: All four RX models feature an upgraded HGS-developed muffler setup, stronger rear chain guide, redesigned front sprocket guard, softer gray grips, and new black-and-red graphics on an aluminum subframe.
2. 2027 Beta RR Race Lineup
Built specifically for off-road competition, the RR Race series features closed-cartridge KYB suspension, performance engine tuning, and weight-saving components across 8 models.
Engine & Electronic Updates
-
Race 4-Strokes (350, 390, 430, 480):
-
Adoption of Launch Control (5 levels) and Quick Shift managed via the handlebar pad control panel alongside 2-level Traction Control.
-
Mechanical cam chain tensioner replaces hydraulic units to reduce friction and eliminate low-speed flame-outs.
-
Full titanium intake and exhaust valves across all 4-stroke displacements.
-
High-output voltage regulator for enhanced battery charging efficiency at elevated RPM.
-
-
Race 2-Strokes (125, 200, 250, 300):
-
300 Race: Re-engineered combustion chamber head geometry and updated exhaust valve timing improve low-to-midrange power delivery without clipping top-end over-rev.
-
125 Race: Features a modified piston dome profile for linear power delivery.
-
Premix Operation: Automatic oil injection is omitted to reduce overall bike weight (oil injection kit available separately).
-
Suspension & Hardware Specifications
-
KYB Suspension Package: 48mm closed-cartridge KYB front fork and KYB 46mm rear shock feature revised internal shim valving for 2027.
-
Factory Hardware: Red-anodized quick-release front axle pull, reinforced dual-component handguards, billet aluminum footpegs with stainless steel pins, ZF dual-material (aluminum inner/steel outer) rear sprocket, gripper seat with document pocket, and red-anodized engine/chain blocks.
3. 2027 Beta XTrainer Lineup
Beta’s XTrainer range expands for 2027 with the addition of the XTrainer 200, which joins the established 300 XTrainer and a lower seat-height 300 XTrainer Lowboy.
All-New XTrainer 200
-
Dedicated 200cc Engine Package: Features reduced exhaust and transfer port dimensions to boost low-RPM torque off idle.
-
Cylinder Head & Piston: Uses a wider squish band in the combustion chamber alongside a longer-profile piston designed to improve transfer flow direction and reduce unburned fuel loss through the exhaust port.
-
Clutch & Power Valve: Fitted with reduced-load clutch springs for lighter lever pull and a revised exhaust power valve timing profile for smooth, linear power.
-
Intake & Exhaust: Features a model-specific expansion chamber and a dedicated airbox intake boot to smooth low-end air velocity.
-
Chassis & Wheel Specification: Built around a 200-specific frame geometry and paired with an 18 x 1.85-inch rear rim wearing a 140/80 tire to maximize steering response and traction.
Shared XTrainer Updates (200 & 300)
-
Black Frame & Styling: Features a factory black painted frame for the first time on the XTrainer lineup, accented by new red graphics.
-
Nissin Braking Updates: Retains Nissin calipers with 260mm front and 240mm rear rotors, now utilizing a solid, wavy-profile rear disk for modulation on steep downhill trails.
-
LED Lighting & Protection: Redesigned aggressive front mask with a brighter LED headlight, reinforced mud-resistant chain guide, wider coverage front sprocket guard, and standard radiator cooling fan.
-
Dimensions & Pricing:
-
200 XTrainer: $8,799.00 MSRP
