The TE300i is coming to the US!
Husqvarna US just announced the TE (two-stroke enduro) and FE (four-stroke enduro) lineup for 2019. The big news, like over at KTM, is the arrival of the TE300i, the fuel-injected two-stroke big bore is headed to the US. It is basically an all-new bike to the lineup but very similar to the 2018 TE250i with some updates to the suspension setting and likely upgrades inside the ECU since last year for a better running machine. Gone is the need to re-jet for altitude and temperature and mixing the gas is a thing of the past. The TE has oil injection so you just pour your favorite two-stroke oil into the backbone of the frame and let a computer take care of the rest. The FE’s remain largely unchanged but we expect to see big changes in the FC and FX bikes to be announced later. Prices have not been set but bikes are expected in dealers at the end of June.
Changes are few on the rest of the 2019 models and can be summed up in a few sentences. Some claimed internal changes across the line in the WP Xplor fork will further “perfect handling” and are matched to changes inside the rear shock. The Li-Ion Battery is from a new supplier, therefore new. On the TE150 there is a new machining finish inside the upper edge of the exhaust port. And that is all folks! We’d link you over to some sweet reviews of these bikes if we’d have ridden them but we have not. Yet we do know how the KTM versions of some of same bikes work and for that you can click below:
Since KTM is no longer bringing in the 150XC, this TE150 is the answer to a small bore off-road machine. Additionally Husqvarna brings the 450cc displacement in the FE line. The FE350, FE501 bookend the FE450 for a range in different power and weight flavors, and there is even an FE250 on the smaller end of the spectrum.
