Jimmy Lewis on the 2019 Honda CRF450L
If you don’t like to read, here is the quick and dirty on the 2019 Honda CRF450L dual-purpose motorcycle. If you want to lean more you can read our fist full impression here 2019 Honda CRF450L First Riding Impression And we went to the extra effort to showcase some of our colleagues videos as well, so you don’t have to search for them.
And since we are pretty confident in getting you the best info we thought we’d link to a few of the other videos so you can get a well rounded review, even if it should come with the warning: Watch at your own risk. Feel free to click off at any time, our descriptions might make it easier. (Oh, and enjoy the ads…Start wondering how you are going to keep DBT easier to watch.)
Dirt Bike Magazine:
Ron Lawson is presenting an Oscar for dirt biking in a stoic delivery.
CycleCruza
This is the crap that you will get if you keep watching. Think Idiocracy (go ahead and search it if you don’t know–we put a link so it is simple!) and motorcycles merging with some ding dong who gets his information from other like minded pillars of modern society and knows a few YouTube tricks. Don’t look at the number of views, it will make you cry. Or if you watched the whole thing, at least you have company.
Wranglestar
It can’t get any worse, can it? Yes it can. This video will likely be the most watched video from the press presentation on the 2019 Honda CRF450L. Again a few YouTube tricks and nuggets to make a self -deprecating video to fish for more followers. Not sure Honda wanted this impression of the bike? Influencers have influence! Lucky no one was hurt. At least physically.
Racer X
Racer X does what they usually do, get a nice soft opinion. This time from the Honda Off-Road Media Coordinator Jason Abbott who truthfully gives a great breakdown of the bike and its features.
Vital MX
Here you can have the full polished tech breakdown from Jason Abbott and a few bits of riding impression from Vital’s man on the scene.
Transworld Motocross
Never ones to disappoint with high-level technical understanding (being sarcastic here!), see what a lighter rider feels on the CRF450L. Thank God it wasn’t headshake and getting thrown off the bike at 60 MPH. And we thought motocross was dangerous?
Dirt Rider Magazine
Wait, there isn’t a video…There isn’t even a magazine anymore. Blame Jimmy Lewis.

Jimmy, assuming larger tanks will be available for the 450L, would you pick it over the EXC to do the Tour of Idaho?
Jimmy Lewis
No.

That is the same tail light switch that Honda has been using since the 1970s back there behind the cover. Not OEM tires, they were Dunlop D606 and not the best either compared to what is available. Stock tires are junk for dirt as well.
Jimmy Lewis
Brake light switch.
