Dirt Bike Test is in Budd’s Creek, Maryland testing the new 2016 Husqvarna MX bikes both two-stroke and four. We’ll get you an overall impression and then individual impressions of the bikes as soon as we can. The big news, as has been released is that these bikes are based heavily on the 2016 KTM MX and XC bikes so that means they are Husky’s take on the Factory Edition. Of course they are different from the KTMs in a number of ways, mostly the frame and specifically the carbon fiber rear sub-frame. The plastic and cosmetic of the bikes are all new as well with a very futuristic looking side panel that extends up to the gas tank area on the FCs and TC125.
Some other interesting information that has been released is that Husky Power Parts will have an optional electric starer kit available for the TC125 which means that you can also fit that on the KTM 125 and 150 with a little work, no doubt.
On had at the press event are the chassis and engine engineers so we will be sure to tap them for the specific information that makes these Husky’s Husky’s. If you have any questions about the performance or the design of the bikes be sure to ask them in the comments sections and we’ll do our best to get you the answers.

As a 15 FE 501 owner, I’m curious about what specific changes were made to the 4CS as far as valving/setup and your riding feedback of the forks as well…thanks and have fun riding those things!

Did they fix the 2015’s 125 air box?

It is all new and we’ll find out tomorrow. They know the older one was an issue so I suspect it has been addressed.

How did the FE 450 feel in single track conditions? How was the power and handling? When you reviewed the 2016 KTM XC-F you said it was a bit to big and powerful for tighter woods, does the FE 450 feel the same way? Just curious because I am debating between the two manufacturers or just stepping down to the 350. Thanks

We are only riding the Motocross bikes. No single track!

Dang, I misread the article.
